Views with zero value

How do you tackle people who with their limited vision and knowledge who try to impose their beliefs on you? For them, their views hold true and the person at the other end should accept that. Would they ever realize that whatever they say or do is not the ultimate truth, but their perception about truth? Who would tell them that their views actually have zero value!

Everyone has a different perception about truth, and that is absolutely fine. But, what is not fine is when someone tries to impose that perceived truth on you.

How does one go about being aggressive? Am I wrong in saying that it is ok to take the blame on your head sometime? I think I am. Because, in saying so I am trying to escape from confronting the person. However, in some cases it is essential not to confront, because the person at the other end is so stuck with his own views and beliefs that he would not listen to any reasoning. Maybe, those are the situations when you humbly say, it has been my mistake all along.

When a situation is over, that is the time we analyse it from the bird’s eye view. You finally realize what others have been saying for so long. When we undergo something, and know that something is wrong, we often get into denial. We don’t want to accept that things are not right, because accepting would mean that we have made a mistake too.

There can be another scenario as well, which is the most common one, whenever things are not right, most people question others, instead of looking into themselves. It helps them to feel victimized. They will keep saying, despite no fault of mine, I am going through this.

Both the scenarios are not healthy. As much as it is important to acknowledge that there are problems at the other end, it is also equally important to do a soul searching at your end too. However, above all, one needs to understand how to discern views that are valuation from those with zero value!
