Hopelessly Hopeful

Haaq nahi hai, Phir bhi kuch mangne ki chahat hai, Doge kya? Woh nila kurta Accha lagta hai tumpe Usko phir pehnoge kya? Woh jo panktiya likhi thi tumne Barish pe Phir se sunayo ge kya? Woh har ek baat ko Has kar tal dena Aab bhi kar payoge kya? Woh jo kitab rakhi hai Jisme kuch nazm, shayari aur ghazal hai Unn panno ko phir palto ge kya? Woh kuch khwab the Sacche, muskil paar pyaare Ek baar phir mujhe bata payoge kya? Haaq nahi hai, Phir bhi kuch mangne ki chahat hai, Doge kya?

Tossed out...Down with fever and cold... So, all I can think of is this extremely cheesy quote by Alfred Tennyson. "If I had a flower for every time I thought of you...I could walk through my garden forever." If we translate this in Hindi, well... May I ask you If you would give me the permission To make you happy? I don't wish to promise you  That I won't fight with you Nor do I want you to promise me That you will get me The stars or the moon But I do want to assure you That I will sit beside you While you watch the crescent moon On a clear starlit night.
