Need is not want

There is a difference between needing someone and wanting someone.

When you need someone, you are leaning on to the person, there is always a dependency. Even for your happiness, you look upto the person. It somehow becomes the other person's responsibility to make you happy. How fair is that? Why burden someone like that.

Whereas when you say you want someone, it's because you truly want to be with them. They don't become responsible for your happiness, but you become happy because of the mere fact that they are there. Just their presence makes a difference, no matter where they are or what they do.

This want comes from a place of fulfillment.

So, if you truly want someone, tell them, "I am, because you are. This thread connects us, no matter the length, no matter the entanglements. This want is greater than any needs in the world and beyond. That's how much I want you."

And see how free you will feel.
