Pets, love and something else...

It's weird isn't it or maybe logical. 

We love our pet dogs knowing that they won't be with us for long. We want to squeeze in so much love, affection and compassion in the decade or so that they are with us. And they love us unconditionally, always being faithful and loyal. 

Is that because as humans we are aware of how short this companionship will be? So, we try to make the most out of it. However, by that logic, the dog doesn't know how long he has, he just loves, not really caring about how long he will be alive.

That leaves us with two questions. Will we humans love each other in the same way as we love our pets, without pretention, if we had a shorter life expectancy as well? Then again, any mortal life is unpredictable, it may shorten at any point. Knowing that, then why isn't it that we love unconditionally and live without a care each day?

It is a twisted fate of irony that we are given enough life to think that we have enough time to do what we want to, but on the other hand it might be the last minute as well. 

Point is, if you love your Mojo (my dog) as much as I love mine, it is time to shower some love on others too ❤️

Badrinath Ki Dulhania…A great movie on clichés

Brides in India are supposed to bring loads and loads and loads of dowry. That’s the truth of the entire country – be it the hinterland Bharat or the upwardly mobile India. Let me ask some questions today, some uncomfortable questions that we bury deep within us as we don't want to face them. And no, I am not providing any answers. 1. What will you do if you lose someone - to death - whom you loved the most in your life? 2. Will you become bitter or accept it and move on with your life, realizing death is really not the end? 3. Will that impact your other relationships in the future? 4. How will you cope up with that immense lose that created so much darkness in your life that only with the return of that particular sunshine could you see a path ahead? 5. How long would you mourn for that person? 6. Would you hate God for what He did to you? 7. Will it make the situation all the more difficult if that person had sacrificed his/her life for you? 8. Would that make you look at love with contempt? 9. Or would you embark on a journey to find that lost love? 10. What will you do if you find that person again?
